NOTE: To obtain a concentration in
any of the degree programs for purposes of adding it to the student's
diploma, 15 credit hours of concentration courses must be taken for
Bachelor's degree programs, and 12 credit hours for Master's and Doctoral
degree programs. Additionally, for individuals pursuing the Master's
and Doctoral degrees, the thesis and dissertation, respectively, must
be written to focus on the concentration area.
Post-Doctoral Certificate
A
Post Doctoral Certificate can be earned in all disciplines and concentrations
offered. Please contact AGU for more information.

Honorary Degrees
According to strict guidelines, AGU confers honorary degrees upon deserving persons
of high caliber and repute who have demonstrated their merit and have made notable
contributions to community, society, country, etc. Honorary degrees are offered in the following
disciplines:
- Business Administration
- Culture (several categories, including Middle Eastern, Asian, European, African, etc.--all with choice of specific subdivisions)
- Government
- Humane Letters
- Management
- Political Science
- Public Administration
- Religion
There are several categories of individuals who may be qualified to
receive an honorary degree. These categories include the following:
Individuals who have devoted themselves to the service of their community or who have
demonstrated great humanitarianism by performing outstanding services for and/or making large donations
to hospitals, children's centers, etc.
- Individuals with outstanding leadership abilities whose positive impact upon the organizations
that they lead have been soundly demonstrated.
- Individuals who have dedicated themselves to religious and educational institutions and spent
their lives educating and inspiring others to strive for higher levels of ethics and morality.
The following documentation must be provided
to enable AGU to conduct a thorough evaluation of eligibility and merit:
- Academic transcripts and copies of earned degrees (optional).
- Comprehensive resume, together with documentation to support its content.
- Essay elucidating in detail the prospective degree recipient's qualifications.
- Letter(s) of recommendation from applicable distinguished and prestigious individuals,
who have knowledge of the prospective degree recipient's merit and qualifications.
A contribution to
AGU's library is expected before an honorary degree is granted.
